Bittersweet happiness - Dying Wish I

This is just as the title says a bittersweet story, it is happy but yet incredibly sad. It is about a 5 year old girl named Bethany Fenton who had one last wish. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor one year prior to achieving her dream, to sing for Simon Cowell. Her dream came true when she attended "Britain's Got Talent" in London. When she was done performing she told The Daily Mail that: "Simon let me sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to him. He's so nice and I love him." She passed away the Tuesday following her performance.

Max Clifford, the spokesman for Simon Cowell said that: "He is really upset, he said what a beautiful little girl she was. He is just so sad, and sad for the whole family. She was a very special little girl and Simon was so touched when she sang for him. He was happy that he was able to do a special something on Saturday night to give her a few precious moments... His heart hoes out to Bethany's mum and dad and he is thinking of them." The spokeman for Bethany's family said the following: "Her dad said that she had done what she always wanted to do, meet Simon Cowell and sing to him. She had achieved her big ambition and was now ready to depart this earth."

Truly a happy yet so bittersweet story. Bless you, Bethany.

Try not to smile as you watch this clip!

This is an hilarious youtube video with a dog who tastes a lemon, possibly for the first time ever.

I hope they gave him something tasty to eat after that lemon-betrayal!

Love in a bottle

This is a lovely story about a message in a bottle that turned into a love story. It truly is an amazing story! :) Here it goes:
"Ake Viking was a lonely Swedish sailor who decided to place his search for love in the hands of fate. He wrote a simple letter "To Someone Beautiful and Far Away," corked it inside a bottle, and tossed it overboard in the hopes that it might help him find a young woman to marry.
Two years later, in 1958, he was surprised to receive a letter from a Sicilian girl, Paolina, who said, "I am not beautiful, but it seems so miraculous that this little bottle should have traveled so far and long to reach me that I must send you an answer"¦" The two began writing one another and, three years after he threw a bottle into the sea, Ake moved to Sicily to marry his very long-distance love."

Wildebeest vs Cheetahs

This is a short clip of a wildebeest out in the wild. It is being attacked by a group of cheetahs and somehow it manages to escape after a good match with the cheetahs. Watch and see for yourself as this lucky, or skilled, animal makes it trough this vicious attack.

Blogtip: Gavin's Voice

This is a blog about Gavin, a brave young boy whom has faced and endured such a struggle.

An amazing survival story

In 1982, Steven Callahan set sail by himself in a small sailboat. He was going from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean. But on the 5 of February he sailed into a storm and his ship sank. He was adrift in the Atlantic, all alone in a rubber raft. He had barely nothing at all, just his t-shirt, three pounds of food and a few pieces of gear and some water. The odds were truly against him as he was drifting along in his inflatable rubber raft.

But he made it over 1,800 miles of ocean in 76 days before finally reaching land. He was rescued in the Bahamas and he wrote a book about the experience called "Adrift: 76 days lost at sea".
